An important topic of discussion during our chapter kick-off meeting will be the organization of chapter standing committees. These committees will help oversee and manage the operations of the Heartland chapter. This is your chance to make an impact for our new chapter. Committees include:
Planning/Events:(Including special events.)
To coordinate and arrange quality programming for Heartland Chapter meetings. Oversee the work of and work in conjunction with other committees.
Create chapter marketing and communication plan(s). Create, leverage and manage the chapter’s social media presence. (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
Membership & Recruitment:
To maximize the participation and chapter membership of ￼ businesses, institutions, and individuals that support the unmanned systems industry in the proposed chapter.
Further the chapter’s aim of engaging educational institutions and providing unmanned systems education in the chapters proposed geography. Provide scholarships to students engaged in the study of unmanned systems. Recruit and retain local talent.
Build support for the Unmanned Community. Develop the Aerial and Connected Vehicle Robotics Technology Cluster within the chapters proposed geography.
Will be charged with overseeing the financial health of the chapter. Further, members will be tasked to develop an outreach program to gain financial support from a variety of community members and businesses within the proposed geography, as well as securing federal funds for R & D, cluster development, and small business member development. To build awareness of AUVSI Heartland Chapter and raise funds to foster educational efforts, such as scholarship awards and educational sponsorships.
